On 13 July 2018, Phra Khuva Boonchum Nyanasamvaro (Maing Hpone Sayadaw), the Spiritual Teacher of Oxford Buddha Vihara and Venerable Dr. Khammai Dhammasami, the Chief Abbot of Oxford Buddha Vihara, led an entourage of about 80 monks and laypersons on a visit to the Buddhist College of Singapore (BCS). Vice Rector Venerable Dr. Chuan Sheng and the staff of BCS warmly welcomed the guests.
Venerable Dr. Chuan Sheng first gave a brief introduction of BCS, after which he accompanied Phra Khuva Boonchum to the Hall of Great Compassion, where Phra Khuva Boonchum led a chanting and meditation session. Phra Khuva Boonchum also gave a short Dharma talk in which he exhorted his entourage to practice the Dharma diligently using the 3 Refuges and 5 Precepts as a foundation and to focus on Buddhist education. Finally, both Phra Khuva Boonchum and Venerable Dr. Chuan Sheng exchanged gifts and took a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
