“The Buddhist Graduate Program for the Contemporary Societies” meeting held in BCS

“The Buddhist Graduate Program for the Contemporary Societies” round-table meeting was held between the Graduate School of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) and the Buddhist College of Singapore (BCS) on 25 June 2016, Saturday.

Venerable Chuan Sheng (Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs) and Venerable Chuan Xiong (Dean of Academic Affairs Office), together with BCS lecturers and staff, welcomed the 41 delegates from MCU led by Phramaha Somboon Vuddhikaro (Dean, Graduate School).

Representatives from both schools actively discussed and evaluated the current graduate program of MCU, analysed the context and problems in contemporary societies, and suggested improvements to the curriculum design in relation to the stability of Buddhism in contemporary times.

After the meeting, both sides exchanged gifts and took a group photo.
