In a display of environmental awareness and community engagement, students from the Buddhist College of Singapore participated in a project to clean up Changi Beach on 18 Nov 2023 and 25 Nov 2023. This initiative aims to tackle the increasing environmental challenges posed by plastic pollution and other debris along the shoreline.
Armed with determination and a commitment to sustainability, the volunteers, donned in gloves and armed with buckets, spent the two days mindfully collecting litter that had marred the sandy shores.
The beach cleanup not only promotes environmental consciousness and responsible waste disposal practices, but it also serves as a platform for the students to inspire others. Through this project, the students aim to cultivate a lasting culture of environmental responsibility and sustainability within the community.
