On 6 December 2024, the Buddhist College of Singapore held its Graduation Ceremony to award certificates to the seventh cohort of English BA graduates and the fourth cohort of MA graduates. The event was graced by Rector Venerable Kwang Sheng, Vice-Rectors Venerable Dr. Chuan Sheng, Venerable Chuan Hou, and Venerable Chuan Xiong, along with the Head of Administration, Venerable Chuan Li, and the Head of the Monastic Training Office, Venerable Jiu Lin, lecturers, staff, students, and guests.
The ceremony commenced with paying homage and offering flowers to the Buddha. Following this, the Rector delivered a heartfelt speech, congratulating the students on successfully completing their studies. He expressed his heartfelt joy in seeing the students, nurtured through the college’s dedicated efforts, now serving communities worldwide. Reflecting on the immense challenges faced during the establishment of the college, he reminded the students to always remain grateful for the education and values imparted to them. The Rector also emphasized the importance of applying compassion wisely.
Thereafter, the Rector presented certificates to the graduates, and the student representatives gave a thank you speech. Subsequently the Rector led everyone to dedicate merit to all sentient beings and recite The Four Great Bodhisattva Vows. The ceremony ended with a group photo taking to commemorate this joyous occasion.
